Shawnee State University vs. Fisher College: 0-3 Loss
This week's Overwatch NACE match saw the bears face a very strong Fisher team as they fell in a quick 0-3 loss. Fisher had an exceptionally strong tank to go through as they had consistent play of the game's and mitigated a large majority of the Bears' damage.
Game 1 took the Bears to the Antarctic Peninsula. The Bears showed some promise in the first map of the series by generating a lot of ultimates very quickly, though Fisher showed to be more dominant by not allowing the Bears to capture even 1% on both maps in game 1. Zach Smith (gamertag: zsmitty2020) and Gabe Martinson (gamertag: Happy) would lead the Bars in eliminations. While Ben Palmieri (gamertag: Bas1lisk) would lead in damage with 3,223 and Logan Betz (gamertag: DotBetz) with healing at 9,861. Betz led the whole lobby in Game 1 with his healing.
Game 2 showed the fan favorite map King's Row where Fisher showed to block Shawnee from capturing the first point. Fisher then only had to capture 33% of the point the following round, which capped off Game 2. Smith took the leading eliminations and damage for the Bears with 6 and 2,646 respectively. Betz would once again lead the entire lobby in healing with a large 8,240 healing.
The final game saw the Bears taken to Suavasa where they were once again held from capturing a point. Fisher's point presence of the night proved to be too much to handle for the Bears. Palmieri and Gavin Jones (gamertag: Zephyr) would tie for the most eliminations. Martinson claimed the most damage at 4,274, and Betz with the most healing at 3,690.
SSU Overwatch will have their next game on Saturday the 23rd for ABC.
