Smash Bros. Bounces Back, Earns Sweep

Shawnee State Smash Bros. went up against the Davenport University Panthers. The Bears bounced back after their loss last week with a 2-0 victory over the Panthers and tie their record up 2-2.

Game one was very close with both teams going back and forth, taking stock-for-stock. Michael Clark (gamertag: Smooglegad) was the star performer for the Bears; taking 5 of the opponents' stocks in game one. With the lead Clark gave them, they closed game one 3-0.

In game two, the Bears fell behind early 6-8. Luckily for the squad, Desmond Craft (gamertag: Echoforce) came in to swing the tempo of the match. He took out 6 stocks before finally falling. This gave the Bears a 3-2 lead going into the final battle of the night. That is when Clark came in to finish off the series 3-0, giving the Bears a 2-0 win over the Panthers.

Other notable performances included Gabe Stiles (gamertag: Flantasy) who took 5 stocks between the two games. Clark took the most stocks among the squad with 7.
