HAMILTON, Ohio -- The baseball program at Shawnee State got six hits from six different players, but dropped a nonconference contest to Northwestern Ohio, 19-2, Tuesday afternoon at the Hamilton Joes Baseball Field in Hamilton, Ohio Tuesday.
Shawnee State scored both of its runs in the sixth inning as a Mason Reid walk was followed by an RBI triple by Jace Parnin and a sacrifice fly RBI by Zach Gaspar. Ryan Scott produced a single in the inning as well.
For the contest, Parnin (1-for-3, triple, RBI, run scored), Reid (1-for-2, walk, run scored), and Scott, Diego Mendoza, Tyler Lund and Eli Jones (1-for-3 each) led the offensive lineup.
The baseball program at Shawnee State returns to action Thursday afternoon with a single nine-inning contest against Midway (Ky.). First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
