SSU Esports to host The DEN 2024 Aug. 16-Aug. 18
The Esports program at Shawnee State will be hosting an Esports tournament this coming August, as The DEN 2024 will commence from Friday, Aug. 16 to Sunday, Aug. 18 inside the Morris University Center Ballroom.
Featured games that will be played as part of the tournament include Guilty Gear: Strive, Street Fighter 6, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Singles and Super Smash Bros. Melee Singles.
Fees for attending cost $15 per spectator, while those who desire to pay the tournament fee to play will pay a cost of $10 per player per each event played. Those who wish to attend the event as a spectator can register at any time prior to the event.
For those who plan to play, registration for Guilty Gear: Strive, Street Fighter 6, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Singles and Super Smash Bros. Melee Singles all have to be completed by 12 p.m. next Friday.
The following is the pool play schedule, followed by the top cut schedule:
Friday, Aug. 16 (Pool Play start times)
- 2 p.m. -- Street Fighter 6
- 6 p.m. -- Guilty Gear: Strive
Saturday, Aug. 17 (Pool Play start times)
- 12 p.m. -- Super Smash Bros. Melee Singles
- 4 p.m. -- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Singles
Sunday, Aug. 18 (Top Cut start times)
- 12 p.m. -- Melee Singles Top Cut
- 2 p.m. -- Street Fighter 6 Top Cut
- 4 p.m. -- Guilty Gear: Strive Top Cut
- 6 p.m. -- Ultimate Singles Top Cut
