Bowling Returns to Ohio Bowling Conference

On Saturday, Shawnee State Bowling returned to Columbus for more Ohio Bowling Conference competition. Both the men's and women's varsity teams placed 7 out of 18.

The Bears continued to show their strength after an excellent opener earlier this month. Freshman Blake Landers totaled 1161 pins over the five-game total to lead the men's team and earn him a sixth-place finish for the day. The young Bear finished a mere 11 pins short of the All-Tournament team honor. Leading the women's team was Hannah Marie Rearick with a five-game total of 809. The 178-pin average earned the junior an eighteenth placement.

SSU also saw excellent performances in the JV division, with freshman Kylie Fowler taking fourth place and All-Tournament honors in women's. She had a four-game total of 655, averaging 163 pins. Ashton Heckman finished seventh for men's JV with a four-game total of 809. The sophomore missed the All-Tournament team by 16 pins. Ashton Heckman led the Men's JV team with a seventh place finish. His four-game total of 809 had him 16 pins short of All-Tournament team honors.

Shawnee State Bowling is back in action on Saturday, October 28, as they head to the Boilermaker Classic.
