
Bears Take on ODU Bill Blazer Memorial Tournament
On April 7th and 8th, the Shawnee State Men's Golf team traveled to Urbana Country Club in Urbana, Ohio, to compete in the Ohio Dominican University Bill Blazer Memorial Tournament.
Leading the way for the Bears over the two days of competition was Kyle Salamon. Salmon posted scores of 80-76 for a tie for 54th in the tournament. Austin Barta would contribute scores of 79-79 in his two competing rounds for a tie for 64th place. Daulton McDonald finished in a for 71st after posting rounds of 81-80. Also competing for the Bears was Trey Albert. Albert posted scores of 80-82, which finds him in a tie for 74th in the tournament. Rounding out the lineup for the Bears would be Ben Flanders. Flanders contributed back-to-back rounds of 82 for a tie for 77th in the tournament. As a team, the Bears posted scores of 320 and 317 for a 14th-place finish.
The Men's Golf team will finish their season on April 24th and 25th as they head to Bowling Green Country Club in Bowling Green, Kentucky, as they participate in the Mid-South Conference tournament.
