SSU men's swimming eighth, women's swimming ninth after Day 2 of College of Wooster Invitational

After posting solid Day 1 performances at the College of Wooster Invitational, the Shawnee State men's and women's swimming programs continued to capitalize on their talent as the opening session saw many athletes beating their personal records and earning their spot in the evening session's finals during the second day of competition in Wooster, Ohio.

Sophomore Josiah Ramdeen finished his 100 Backstroke (55.63) in the top 20, landing him in the bonus final where he continued to show out, earning him a solid 19th overall. Veteran swimmer and SSU senior woman Carissa Link (5:22.69), along with fellow freshman teammate Katie McCafferty (4:47.75) both blazed a path into the 400 Individual Medley finals. McCafferty rose up in the A finals to earn a modest 7th place (4:47.47), while Link ended the day within the top 25 overall (5:19.45).

The SSU men's and women's swimming programs will be back in action for the third and final day of the College of Wooster Invitational Saturday.
