SSU Tennis Beat Quakers

The Bears traveled to Richmond, Indiana, to face Earlham College. Play began with doubles and the 2nd and 3rd Bear duos of Lambert/White and Pine/Stanley came out Victorious with 8-5 score lines. 1st doubles consisting of graduate student Zayden Rinehart and sophomore Zinedine Arva Purbo saw two match points but ultimately fell in a tiebreaker to Sharma/Agrawal 7-8. As for singles, Senior Keenen Lambert made quick work of Earlham's Kishimoto 6-0 and 6-2 at 3rd singles. Transfers Adam Stanley and Aiden Pine won similarly, dominating their opponents at 5th and 6th singles. Rinehart rebounded following his tight doubles loss and won at the number one singles position defeating Sharma 6-2 and7-5. Zined Arva-Purbo and Aiden White battled their opponents for nearly two hours but both fell in tight matches. Despite this, the Bears walked away on top winning the match 6-3.

The Bears will be back on the tennis courts at home against Capital University on Tuesday, September 26 at 2 PM.
