Bears Compete at Cherry Blossom Invitational

On the women's side, Kirsten Evans competed in the 400m race. Evans ran a time of 1:08.87 to finish in 13thplace. In the 800m race, Shari Ritchey finished in 16th place with a time of 2:32.58.

On the men's side, the Bears were well represented in the 1500m race. Mason Blizzard was the first Bear to finish with a time of 4:11.68 (12th place). Following Blizzard, Philip Evory ran a time of 4:19.97 (18th place), Alex Morris ran a time of 4:20.12 (19th place), Malachi Shugert ran a time of 4:21.52 (21st place), Zach Sharrock ran a time of 4:34.21 (28th place), Jack Monroe ran a time of 4:40.90 (33rd place), Evan Siberall ran a time of 4:41.54 (34th place), Jacob Beyer ran a time of 4:56.54 (40th place), and Jared Flowers ran a time of 4:57.57 (41st place). In the 800m race, Mason Blizzard finished in 11th place with a time of 2:03.22. Following Blizzard, Philip Evory finished in 17th place (2:08.14), Evan Siberall finished in 26th place (2:15.24), Jacob Beyer finished in 27th place (2:16.30), Jack Monroe finished in 28th place (2:16.94), and Jared Flowers finished in 32nd place (2:40.10). The 4x400m relay team consisting of Zach Sharrock, Malachi Shugert, Evan Siberall, and Alex Morris finished in 7th with a time of 3:56.06. Matthew Rauch competed in both pole vault and javelin for the Bears. Rauch finished in 5th place for pole vault, clearing a height of 3.55m, and finished in 20th place for javelin, throwing a distance of 30.99m. Once again, the team will be splitting up this weekend to compete at the Jesse Owens Track Classic hosted by Ohio State University and the Otterbein Twilight meet hosted by Otterbein University. Both of those meets will be contested on Friday, April 21st
