The Shawnee State Bears Softball team traveled to Pulaski, Tennessee to take on Tennessee Southern in a three-game series.
In game one, Cassie Schaefer would go six innings allowing two runs and striking out two. The Bears' bats would do work throughout the game starting in the top of the first when Emily Allphin would single-scoring Brittani Wolfenbarker followed by a Mackenzie Hale sacrifice fly scoring Andrea Little. In the second Kylie Ray singled scoring Lexie Lockwood and Josie Campbell, Allphin would then reach on a fielder's choice scoring Wolfenbarker. Morgan Grambell singled scoring Andi Webb and Schaefer. In the sixth Hale would score Ashley Fite and then Allison Tom would triple scoring Hale, Schaefer, and Allphin. The Bears would win 12-2.
- 10 hits for the Shawnee in game one
- Allphin and Grambell each have two hits
- Six innings of work for Schaefer
In game two, Carly King would throw a complete game allowing just six hits and allowing one run. In the fourth, the Bears would get the scoring started, and Lauren Spears doubled down the line scoring Kylie Ray. In the top of the seventh Cassie Schaefer singled scoring Spears. Lexie Lockwood singled scoring Josie Campbell and Brittani Wolfenbarker scored Andi Webb. The Bears would win 4-1.

In game three, Cameryn Davidson would battle for three and two-thirds allowing three runs and striking out five. Hailey Sneddon would relieve her along with Carly King. The Bears' only offense would come in the sixth when Laiken Rice would double to right center scoring Cassie Schaefer and Andrea Little. The Bears would fall 7-2.

- Lexi Lockwood would have a two-hit game
Shawnee State Softball will be back in action this week as they travel to Bowling Green, Kentucky to take part in the MSC Softball Conference Tournament. Games for the tournament will be played at South Warren High School. The Bear's first game will be played at 7:30 PM.
