SSU women's golf remains seventh following second day of River States Conference Championships

The women's golf program at Shawnee State, led by another solid outing from Erika Martin, remains in seventh place following the second day of the River States Conference Championships at The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, W. Va. Monday afternoon.

Martin, who shot a second-day 87, now has a two-day 172 to lead Shawnee State with her aforementioned mark, which has the senior tied for 12th in the 42-player field. Martin, who is tied with three additional golfers for the 12th position in the overall standings, sits just three shots back of a top-10 placement and seven back of a top-five showing at the RSC Championships with Tuesday's final round left to go.

Aly Wellman continued to maintain second on the golfing line for SSU as Wellman notched a 30th place showing, while Cali Baird's 32nd place and Maggie Siley's 38th rounded out the scoring golfers for the Bears.

The third and final day of River States Conference Championship competition commences Tuesday morning at The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, W. Va.
