SSU women's golf to compete at UPike Fall Invitational

The women's golf program at Shawnee State will look to continue making strides over the course of the 2024 season as Holley Hart's program will compete in the two-day UPike Fall Invitational, which will be held at StoneCrest Golf Course in Prestonsburg, Ky.

As with the men, the women have continued to have a consistent crew of scoring golfers -- with Sidnea Belville, Aly Wellman, Cali Baird and Brynna Spencer heading the lineup. Three of those four players -- Belville, Wellman and Spencer -- are from the Tri-State Area, while Baird, the veteran of the group, was a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection last summer following the 2023-24 golf season.

Belville and Wellman have each won one River States Conference Golfer of the Week Award between them.

Freshman Emily Weber -- a product of Ironton High School like Belville -- will be competing in her first career collegiate tournament Monday and Tuesday.

Belville led the Bears last weekend at the two-day River States Conference Fall Preview by finishing 24th in the tournament. The event was cut to 27 holes due to inclement weather.

The lineup for the Shawnee State women's golf program is as follows:
