Bosler, McCafferty nab invite to NAIA Women's Swimming and Diving National Championships

The standout duo of Abigail Bosler and Katie McCafferty were each named as NAIA National Qualifiers for the women's swimming and diving national championships, which were officially announced Friday by national officials within the NAIA realm.

Bosler begins the action as the junior kicks off the NAIA National Championships for Shawnee State by competing in the 50 free Thursday, March 5 in a rolling schedule of preliminary events that begins at 9 a.m. Bosler is seeded 29th overall and will look to advance to Thursday's finals.

McCafferty and Bosler each participate Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7 -- as Bosler will compete in the 100 breaststroke (Friday morning) and the 200 breaststroke (Saturday morning), while McCafferty wil swim in the 100 backstroke (Friday morning) and the 1650 free (Saturday morning). Both can advance to finals Friday or Saturday evening with fast enough times.

Overall, Bosler is seeded 21st and 27th, respectively, in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events, while McCafferty is seeded 33rd and 25th in the 100 backstroke and the 1650 free.
