Favre, Foose, Harman, Lexy Urban named NAIA Scholar-Athletes

Behind their work in the classroom, high-achieving student-athletes Claire Favre, Brooklyn Foose, McKenzie Harman and Lexy Urban were each named as NAIA Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the association Monday afternoon.

Foose and Favre, who are multi-sport athletes that compete in women's bowling and women's soccer, respectively, hold GPAs of 3.91 in primary education and 3.88 in exercise science, respectively at the time of submission. Monday's honor is the second NAIA Scholar-Athlete honor of the year for each student-athlete.

Harman, who held a 3.71 mark at the time of submission, nabbed her honors in the physical therapy assistant's program while Lexy Urban posted her 3.56 GPA at the time of submission in health science.

Of the four athletes who were honored, three of them have been multi-year letterwinners. Urban, who participated in the women's tennis program for three years, graduated in three seasons with her bachelor's degree in health science while Foose and Harman have also been a part of the Shawnee State women's tennis roster for each of their first three seasons on campus. Favre, meanwhile, joined the team this season and was a consistent part of the lineup.

To be eligible for NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, student-athletes must have a 3.5 GPA, be of sophomore standing and have participated at their respective institution for at least one full year at the time of nomination.
